Four steps from "we should talk" to a stronger team.
We've run this loop on 40+ engagements. Each step is short on purpose — we'd rather be in the work than in the proposal.
30-minute call
You describe the situation in plain English. We ask three questions, then tell you — honestly — whether we're the right operators for it. If we're not, we'll suggest who is.
One-week scoping
We meet two or three of your team, look at the data we'd need to do the job, and write a one-page scope: the number we'd own, the cadence we'd run, the deliverables, and the price.
Embedded engagement
We start. Weekly leadership review where we present, not advise. Monthly written board update. Direct relationships with your team — no escalation layer between us and the work.
Successor handoff
From week one we're shaping the permanent person who replaces us — hiring them, training your existing team into the role, or both. We leave when they're ready, not before.
The weekly rhythm
- Monday — leadership review (we present)
- Wednesday — working session with the team we're leading
- Friday — written status: what moved, what didn't, what's next
- Monthly — one-page board update, drafted by us
Operating SLAs
- Same-business-day response from your engagement lead
- No layer between you and the senior doing the work
- Documented decisions, not just exported decks
- We tell you when we're wrong — quickly and on the record
What clients and partners say about Gary.
Gary worked for me as Chief Marketing Officer at BOXARR, and he also wore several other business "hats" with style. Despite working with a very low marketing budget, and being faced with numerous challenges, Gary found innovative solutions for marketing and consistently over delivered in that area. However, it is also within Gary's nature to continually look for additional ways to add value – something he certainly did at BOXARR. Gary's Product skills are particularly well developed, and he was able to interface with customers to understand their requirements, from the developer and UI level right up to C level. Gary is also passionate about developing people, particularly though the apprenticeship route. His work at BOXARR helped us identify, recruit and retain some really exceptional people. I am sure that as I am, they are grateful for Gary's involvement at BOXARR and will stay in touch for the future.
I've only worked with a handful of people that have the knowledge that Gary has. It's most likely that my direct line management has no development experience, or worse still knows little about development lifecycle's altogether. It was a breathe of fresh air when Gary came on board. Someone who not only demonstrates an impressive working knowledge of development, but also was happy to listen at every step. A true servant-leader.
Gary is a visionary who can quickly see where change can make immense difference to business performance and has the courage to drive his ideas into reality. His experience, personality and ability to think outside the box means that he is able to push any business in innovation, growth and success. It was a pleasure working with Gary.
I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to work closely with Gary for W2's marketing efforts. Based on my collaboration with Gary it was evident to see he is very experienced in building and executing marketing strategy with a strong focus on sales and financial results for a business whilst being able to balance his focus points in a way that support an effective lead generation strategy. Besides the fact that he is a strong strategic individual, he has the remarkable ability to quickly identify marketing business complexities and challenges and through that, define an ambitious and realistic action plan and ensure implementation in a remarkable efficient way. Gary is a true professional who is very analytical and structured in his way of working. He is very good at locating the main drivers of a business and at the same time able to understand the important contexts in the business. He is efficient in setting realistic marketing targets and pursuing these by implementing the most efficient tactics to drive results.
As Head of Commercial Product at Trader Media Gary has been instrumental in the on-going success and sustained rapid growth of all the titles within his department. He is tremendously thorough and really sweats the detail on any project. He's loved by his stakeholders while being the type of guy that his direct reports want to work hard and succeed for. Gary has always been a great friend within the business and I hope I have the pleasure of working with him again in the future.
